On a Monday afternoon, March 18, 1974, twelve-year-old Michael O'Gorman, a Caucasian male, left his school in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and vanished. A quiet and well-liked sixth-grade student, Michael's disappearance triggered an immediate and extensive search. Bloodhounds were brought in to trace his scent, which led them through a wilderness area known as Dogtown before abruptly ending on a street near the Route 128 rotary.
