In the early morning hours of July 26, 2020, a violent incident cut short the life of Sarbryon Loving, a 39-year-old Black / African American male from Boston. Just before 2 a.m., officers from the Mattapan district responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 38 Erie Street in Dorchester. Upon their arrival, they discovered Loving suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased.
