In the early morning hours of April 7, 2020, the body of a young man, Joshua Mayberry, was discovered on the side of the road in the 4200 block of East St. Bernard Highway in Meraux, Louisiana. The 24-year-old male had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
