In the warm evening of June 20, 2020, in New Orleans, Louisiana, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace and irrevocably altered the course of a woman's life. Kimberly Wright, a 34-year-old female, was in the Pines Village area of New Orleans East, specifically in the 6000 block of Downman Road, when she was struck by at least one bullet.
