In the early morning hours of July 9, 2020, the life of 17-year-old Deveonte Jeter was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. An African American male, Jeter was a passenger in a vehicle driving on David Raines Road when the unthinkable happened. At approximately 1:00 a.m., as the car turned onto Peach Street, another vehicle of an unknown make and model approached and its occupants opened fire.

Multiple gunshots were fired into the vehicle, with several striking Jeter in the head ...
