In the late hours of a Sunday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of Robert Jones, a 27-year-old Black man, was irrevocably altered. On November 22, 2020, Jones was the victim of a shooting that would ultimately prove fatal. The initial attack left him with severe injuries that he would battle for the next nine months.
