In the Milan neighborhood of New Orleans, on the evening of December 12, 2020, the life of Cantrell Livas, a 42-year-old African American man, was tragically cut short. Livas was at the corner of Milan and Willow Streets when he was fatally shot. The New Orleans Police Department responded to the scene and began an investigation into the deadly shooting.
