Santiago Rubio, a 31-year-old man from New Orleans, LA, tragically lost his life on January 18, 2021. He was one of two victims in a double homicide that occurred in the Mid-City area of New Orleans. The incident took place in the 3000 block of Bienville Avenue, where Rubio and another individual, Ilia Henderson, were fatally shot by two masked men dressed in black. A third person was also wounded in the shooting and was taken to the hospital.
