Larmond Henri Godbolt, a 19-year-old African American male, found his life cut short on a Tuesday in Bogalusa, Louisiana. On February 9, 2021, in the 1800 block of Lasley Street, the young man known affectionately as 'LG' was shot. He was rushed to Our Lady of the Angels Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead. Larmond, born in nearby Covington on July 16, 2001, was a student at Bogalusa High School where he was an active and proud member of the BHS 'Big Bad'

The Bogalusa Police Department immediately began an investigation into the violent death that had shaken the community. Their efforts soon led them to identify three male juveniles as the primary suspects in the case. The individuals, aged 15, 16, and 17, were believed to be connected to the YBF street gang, which originated in Illinois. Investigators determined that one of the gang members had ties to the Bogalusa area.
As the investigation progressed, the motive behind the fatal shooting became clear: armed robbery. Based on the evidence they had gathered, the Bogalusa Police Department secured arrest warrants for the three teenage suspects. The charges listed on the warrants were severe, including principal to first-degree murder, armed robbery, armed robbery with a gun, and illegal use of dangerous weapons, reflecting the gravity of the crime that had ended a young life.
