A 33-year-old man, Demon Sanders, was killed in a shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on the afternoon of Saturday, March 27, 2021. The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. in the 370 block of North Foster Drive. Sanders was inside a vehicle when he was struck by gunfire, which caused him to lose control and crash into a building. A 7-year-old girl who was also in the vehicle was injured in the shooting.
She was taken to a nearby children's hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Sanders, however, died at the scene from his gunshot wounds.
