In the summer of 2007, the life of Damien Marcel Perry, a 28-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short on a street in Boston, Massachusetts. On the evening of August 4th, police responded to a report of a person shot at the intersection of Warren and Woodbine Streets in the city's Roxbury neighborhood. There, they found Damien Perry suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and Perry was quickly transported to a local hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later conducted an autopsy and officially ruled the manner of death as a homicide.
