On July 3, 2021, 42-year-old Dan Cooksey was fatally shot in his residence in the Allendale neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. Cooksey, a male of unspecified ethnicity, was found wounded by officers who arrived at the scene. He was subsequently transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
