In the early hours of a summer morning in Boston, the Dorchester neighborhood was shattered by violence that claimed the life of a 29-year-old African-American man, Cimmaron Holman. On June 28, 2008, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Holman was fatally shot near Franklin Field, at 113 Ames Street. Following the shooting, he was driven to Carney Hospital, but his wounds were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
