A young Black / African American man’s life was cut short on the evening of August 11, 2022, in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood. Xavier Barkon, a 19-year-old male, was fatally shot inside a motor vehicle parked on Oak Hill Avenue, a quiet dead-end street.
