Darren D. Holmes, a 44-year-old African American man from Shreveport, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on November 28, 2021. Holmes was fatally shot during a custody exchange outside a convenience store on Linwood Avenue. The incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m., and Holmes was transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 7:57 p.m. He was identified through fingerprint comparison, and an autopsy was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
