On January 7, 2022, 23-year-old Breshawn Spencer, a woman from New Orleans, LA, was fatally shot in the leg in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The New Orleans Police Department began investigating the incident as a homicide. Breshawn Spencer was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
