In the African-American community of Boston, the end of 2008 was marked by a tragedy that has yet to find resolution. On Monday, December 29, 2008, Jermaine Perry, a 17-year-old male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside of 7 Hosmer Street in the Mattapan neighborhood.
