On May 4, 2009, 18-year-old Tamon E. Choate was fatally shot in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. The incident occurred on Tonawanda Street at approximately 7:19 PM, when Boston police discovered Choate lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Boston Medical Center, but despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
