Orlando Puryear Jr., a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Puryear, a former football star at Evangel Christian Academy, was fatally shot in a rolling shootout that occurred at the intersection of Jewella and Amelia Avenues.
