Delario Montrell Jackson, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2022, in Athens, Louisiana. The incident occurred during an improperly permitted music event held at a residence on Highway 9, south of Athens. The Claiborne Parish Sheriff's Office reported that Jackson, who resided at the house, was fatally shot during an argument at the event. Another individual also sustained gunshot wounds but was treated at a local hospital and subsequently released.
