On December 23, 2009, the body of 39-year-old Julienne Corrao was discovered in a large cloth bag in an alley on Princeton Street, East Boston. The gruesome discovery was made by a neighbor who initially mistook the bag for trash until police arrived. Investigators believe Corrao was beaten to death elsewhere before her body was discarded in the alley. Her wrists were bound, and she had a distinctive tattoo of a dragon on her neck, which aided in her identification.
