La Raven Smith, a 17-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on November 12, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when La Raven and her mother, Brandy Smith, were found with gunshot wounds inside their home on Stephenson Lane. Brandy Smith, aged 37, was pronounced dead at the scene, while La Raven was transported to North Oaks Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
