Thomas O. Freeman, a 35-year-old white male, was found dead on October 30, 1982, in Cobden, Illinois. His decomposing body was discovered in a shallow grave, and it was determined that he had been murdered approximately three months prior, around July 1982. Freeman had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, which were identified as the cause of his death.
