Murdered

On July 5, 2011, 26-year-old Joseph Winston was fatally shot on Columbia Road in Dorchester, Boston. He was one of two victims, alongside Lashon Washington, who was also killed in the same incident. The shootings occurred near 245 Columbia Road and were part of a series of violent crimes in the area that year. Despite investigations, no suspects were publicly identified at the time, and the case remains unsolved. The deaths added to the alarming rise in homicides across Boston in 2011.
