In the early morning hours of a violent weekend in Philadelphia, 24-year-old Tyrese Hall, a male, became one of the city's homicide victims. Just after 2:30 a.m., police were called to the area of Addison Street near 60th in West Philadelphia where they discovered Hall's body.
He was found lying on the steps of a rowhouse, having sustained gunshot wounds to his head and torso. Hall died from his injuries at the scene.
His death marked the 95th homicide in the city for the year 2014.
In the immediate aftermath of the discovery, law enforcement officials had little information to proceed with. The motive for the shooting was unknown, and police had not identified any suspects in connection with the killing. As of the initial reports, no arrests had been made in the case, leaving the circumstances of Tyrese Hall's death an open investigation.
