Frances Colon, an 18-year-old Latina high school student from Chicago, Illinois, was tragically killed on February 15, 2013. Frances was a senior at Roberto Clemente Community Academy and had aspirations of attending college. On the evening of her death, she was found with a fatal gunshot wound to her back in the 1100 block of North Pulaski Road in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. Despite being rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
