On May 15, 2013, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 22-year-old Jarell Doston was fatally shot in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood. Doston and a 25-year-old male companion were traveling in a vehicle along the 6300 block of South May Street when an assailant emerged from a gangway and opened fire.
