Carla Eguez, a 5-year-old girl from Chicago, IL, tragically lost her life on August 12, 2013, in a harrowing incident that also claimed the life of her mother, Kelly Coca. The incident occurred in their home in the Little Village neighborhood. Carla and her 28-year-old mother were found dead from gunshot wounds to the head. The perpetrator was identified as Carla's father, Juan Eguez, who attempted to take his own life after committing the murders.
