Eric "Guitar" Davis, a 41-year-old African American blues musician from Chicago, was tragically killed on December 18, 2013. He was found fatally shot with multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago. Davis was a well-known figure in the Chicago blues scene and the son of legendary blues drummer Bobby "Top Hat" Davis. At the time of his death, Davis was preparing for a New Year's Eve gig at the Beale on Broadway in St. Louis.
