Anthony McGrone, a 28-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 28, 2014, in Springfield, Illinois. The incident occurred inside a small, ramshackle house located in the 2100 block of South Wirt Avenue. McGrone suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at Memorial Medical Center at 4:56 p.m. on the same day.
