John J. Myles, a 45-year-old African American man, was tragically shot multiple times on April 19, 2014, while sitting in his vehicle outside his apartment in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Rosehill Drive. Myles was immediately taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away on April 29, 2014. His death was officially ruled a homicide.
