Monte Tillman, a 33-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on May 26, 2014, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near Lake Street and Laramie Avenue. According to police reports, Tillman was walking on Lake Street when an unknown assailant approached him, pulled out a gun, and fired multiple shots. The attacker then fled the scene.
