Maurice Jones, an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on April 7, 2020, in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 8:30 p.m. and attempted to stop a vehicle in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Avenue.
