Tristian Hamilton, a 31-year-old African American male rapper known by his stage name FBG Cash, was tragically killed on June 10, 2022, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Hamilton was driving with a 29-year-old woman in the 1600 block of West 81st Street. According to police reports, a black Cadillac approached their vehicle, and two gunmen emerged, opening fire on Hamilton and the woman. Hamilton was struck at least 13 times and was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The woman, who was also shot in the left arm and upper back, was taken to the same hospital in serious condition.

The investigation revealed that the attackers fired nearly two dozen rounds, with 23 shell casings found at the scene, including 14 from a rifle. Initial reports suggested that Hamilton attempted to return fire with a handgun but ultimately fled from the shooters before collapsing. The gunmen then fled the scene in the black Cadillac. As of the latest updates, no arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large.

Hamilton was a member of the "Fly Boy Gang," a group of rappers from Chicago's South Side. His death came nearly two years after another member of the group, Carlton Weekly, known as FBG Duck, was killed in a similar manner. Weekly's murder led to the arrest of four members of a rival street gang faction, who were charged with his killing. Hamilton had previously been questioned about rumors linking him to Weekly's death, which he denied in a YouTube video, calling them "crazy internet rumors."

Hamilton's criminal history included serving prison time on gun charges and being arrested again in the previous year for possessing a weapon. He was charged with being an armed habitual criminal, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and felony possession of a weapon, but the case was dismissed in the fall of 2021. The investigation into Hamilton's murder is ongoing, with authorities continuing to seek information and leads to bring the perpetrators to justice.
