Sam Walker Sr., a 34-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on July 31, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, where Walker was targeted while walking to pick up cigarettes after getting a haircut. He was shot in the torso and head, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
