James Sterling, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically died on August 17, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Roseland neighborhood, where James Sterling lived at 426 W. 104th St. According to reports, the event was a murder-suicide. James Sterling fatally shot his 29-year-old wife, Amy Holmes-Sterling, and critically injured her 26-year-old sister, Aerial Holmes, before turning the gun on himself.
