On a Christmas evening in 2012, the life of a young African-American man, Jarvis Gilmore, was tragically cut short. The 22-year-old was in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on December 25, 2012, in the vicinity of Brookway Terrace and Bradeen Street.
