On March 4, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred at an apartment complex located at 109 Weaver Way in Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts. The victim, Jose Despeignes, a 56-year-old resident of Hyde Park, was found shot on the third floor of the residence. Boston police responded to a call at approximately 3:31 PM and found Despeignes suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
