Joshua Rockett, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on November 28, 2014, in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Chicago, IL. He was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his back at approximately 7:36 p.m. in the 9000 block of South Laflin Street. Despite efforts to save him, Joshua Rockett was pronounced dead at 7:57 p.m. His death was part of a violent Thanksgiving weekend in Chicago, which saw multiple shootings and fatalities.
