In the early morning hours of November 20, 2021, the quiet of an Olathe, Kansas neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to reports of shots fired around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Cedar Street and Sunset Drive, police discovered a tragic scene. Inside a vehicle with multiple shattered windows sat 42-year-old Hispanic male Jose Arellano-Rascon and 45-year-old Angela Santiago, both of whom had been fatally shot.
