Tyrone Smith III, a 6-year-old African American boy from Rockford, Illinois, tragically lost his life on December 20, 2014. Tyrone, along with his younger brother Tobias K. Smith, aged 4, and their mother Martia Flint, aged 24, were found shot to death in their home. The incident also claimed the life of Demontae Rhodes, aged 24, who was living with the family at the time.
