Rashad Oliver, a 14-year-old African American boy from Riverdale, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on January 25, 2015. The incident occurred near 143rd and Dearborn, just a few blocks from his home. Rashad was a well-liked eighth grader at Roosevelt Junior High School, known for his ability to make others laugh and his popularity among peers.
