Devante Warnsby, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 8, 2015, in the South Chicago neighborhood of Chicago, IL. According to reports, Warnsby was walking in the 8400 block of South Essex when a gray car approached him. A male occupant of the vehicle opened fire, striking Warnsby in the head. He was subsequently transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 9 p.m. that evening.
