Black male Marquis Adams, 31, was discovered just before dawn on September 20, 2015, slumped inside a car parked in an alley off the 11700 block of South LaSalle Street in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood.
Officers had been dispatched at about 5:25 a.m. to a call of shots fired; when they reached the narrow lane, they found the 31 year old with multiple gunshot wounds in the vehicle's interior, the alley still hushed and empty around him.
