Andrevion Jones, a 13-year-old African American boy, was fatally shot in the head on July 9, 2015, in Kankakee, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 200 block of North Cottage Avenue in Kankakee. Andrevion, who resided in the 3900 block of South Main Street in Hopkins Park, succumbed to his injuries on July 11, 2015, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was rule ...
