Anthony Spitzig, a 23-year-old male from Kankakee, Illinois, tragically lost his life on May 17, 2018. His death was discovered following a fire at an auto repair facility located at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Locust Street in Kankakee. Firefighters responded to the blaze around 5:15 a.m. and, after extinguishing the flames, found Spitzig's body inside the building.
