On August 6, 2015, Sherrain T. House, a 29-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot multiple times while in the backyard of a residence located at 711 North 22nd Street in East St. Louis, Illinois. The incident occurred at approximately 11:01 PM. Sherrain House was visiting family at the time of the shooting and succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
