Jarrel Lovelace, a 30-year-old African American man from Chicago, IL, died on August 31, 2015, after being shot in the West Pullman neighborhood. Lovelace was riding a mini-motorbike in the 11800 block of South State Street when he was shot in the abdomen and arm around 7 p.m. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries two weeks later on September 14, 2015.
