Raymon Blount, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 8, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago. Raymon Blount was among a group of individuals standing on a sidewalk in the 1500 block of South Kedzie Avenue when gunfire erupted around 8:45 p.m. Blount was struck in the shoulder and chest.
