Courtney Taylor, a 26-year-old African American male from Chicago, IL, was tragically killed on January 23, 2016. The incident occurred in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel, where Taylor was attending a function. According to witnesses, Taylor attempted to break up a fight when one of the men involved pulled out a gun and shot him in the head. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
